Our Mission
To improve the delivery of care and the wellbeing of patients and healthcare workers through the development and application of human factors and systems engineering principles within clinical environments.
Lab Goals
To be international leaders in the development and application of human factors principles within healthcare systems.
To publish high quality research studies applying systems thinking principles, and studying the effects of interventions, to address persistent clinical problems.
To study the application of embedded human factors expertise on the performance and wellbeing of clinicians, for the benefit of patients.
Dr. Catchpole gives a TEDx presentation on the importance of human factors in healthcare and medical error.
